Diggin’ Down

[G] Diggin’ down
To the rock at the [G7] bottom
[C] Diggin’ down
To solid [C7] ground
It don’t [G] take but a heart and a [C] shovel
To [D] keep on diggin’ [G] down

Slippin’ free
Of the fears they feed us
Slippin’ free
Of the traps we see
It don’t take but a skip and a wiggle
To keep on slippin’ free

[F] Everyone’s gotta be [C] somewhere
[G] We gotta be here [C] today
Gotta [F] be here now, gotta [C] learn just how
The [Am] river finds a [D] way

Steppin’ out
In the city sunshine
Steppin’ out
On the rural route
It don’t take but a turn of the doorknob
To keep on steppin’ out

Lookin’ up
To a brighter morning
Looking up
To better luck
It don’t take but a sign and a sunhat
To keep on lookin up

Everyone’s gotta be somewhere
Gotta be right here today
Gotta be here now; gotta show em all how
The river finds a way

Walkin’ in
The steps of giants
Walkin’ in
Where the saints have been
It don’t take but a sense of direction
To keep on walkin’ in

Comin’ through
With rainbow colors
Comin’ through
With the goal in view
It don’t take but a wide parade route
To keep on comin’ through

Everyone’s gotta be somewhere
We gotta be here today
Gotta be here now; gonna find out how
The river finds a way

Diggin’ down
To the rock at the bottom
Diggin’ down
To solid ground
It don’t take but a heart and a shovel
To keep on diggin’ down
